Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church of Peoria is seeking an organist/pianist for its 9 am Sunday worship services, plus occasional mid-week services for Festival Days and during Lent. Zion is a small, urban congregation (average Sunday attendance about 45 people) with no choir.

Congregational worship at Zion follows the liturgies of the Lutheran Book of Worship. Zion also uses the alternative hymnal Lutheran Harmony and holds a OneLicense.net license for additional congregational hymnody. The Pastor is a member of the Association of Lutheran Church Musicians and the Society of the Holy Trinity. He is also is chaplain to the Peoria Chapter of the American Guild of Organists.

Zion's primary musical instrument is a 7 rank, 2 manual Hinners pipe organ installed in 1927, last upgraded in 2002 with fiber-optic wiring, rebuilt console, and new pedalboard. An Everett console piano is also available. Summer worship is in the air-conditioned "Summer Chapel" and accompanied by a Yamaha digital piano.

Compensation is negotiable according to skill and experience. Funerals and weddings extra honoraria. Substitute organist/pianist is available.

Zion is located on the South Side of Peoria at the corner of Easton and Hayes, one block west of the intersection of Jefferson and Western.
